What did you like to do when you were young? When I say young I mean around 10-15, not like YOUNG young. Were you a video game fanatic like me? Morrowind? Oblivion? Champions Of Norrath? Did any of those ring a bell to you? If you like rpg’s (roll playing games) I guarantee this post is for you, because I’m about to introduce you to the most legendary game of all time.
Champions Of Norrath was my life when I was young, and still in my opinion beats most new releases in today’s game play quality. The game somewhat basic, I mean there is a lot involved but it’s not so ridiculous that you have to learn a whole world of information to get anywhere, which may be part of why it appeals to me so much. The game play is relatively easy to follow and you definitely learn as you go. You can choose between a Barbarian Warrior, a Wood Elf ranger, a High Elf Cleric, a Vah Shir Berserker (also known as a tiger that will claw your face off,) a Dark Elf Shadownight and an Iksar Shaman, (which is a lizard that’s a shaman.) Each character has their own unique qualities, and I have beaten the game on every character, hehe.
Basically you go through all the levels killing monsters and gaining experience, collecting money, weapons, armor and items. Once you kill enough monsters you level up, and your strength, dexterity, agility and intelligence all rise. If you play rpg’s at all then you understand that this is pretty standard, dungeons and dragons style.
I don’t want to ruin the game for you too much though, look into it a little more and determine whether you think it’s for you, I think it is. You do need a playstation 2, so that might cut some of you out of the picture. You can buy it on amazon, if you’d like.
Let me know if you choose to go through with it, we can play together online and I’ll help you out.
Hope to see you on there!
