LOST’s Remaining Mysteries

With less than a week to go until the premiere of LOST’s final season, fans are more excited than Hurley was when he found that cache of ranch dressing.

In the years since it debuted in 2004, LOST has done more than almost any other show to surreptitiously push science fiction further into the mainstream consciousness. Simultaneously, it revolutionized the way people watch television by standing on the shoulders of programs like 24 and Alias to perfect the art of the serialized drama. LOST has had fans not only watching the show, but analyzing every frame, discussing it endlessly around water coolers and in online forums, and even participating in alternate reality games.

With the final season ready to go, though, there are a lot of questions that have been raised by the writers of LOST that have so far gone unanswered. Some of them are quite large, while others seem pretty insignificant in retrospect. Still, it would be great to see every single one of them answered, but with only eighteen episodes this season, many fans are wondering just how many threads will be left dangling when the credits roll on the series finale.

Some of these fans have taken it upon themselves to spotlight these various unsolved mysteries with a little musical number. The Fine Brothers are no strangers to LOST parodies, with several others already under their belts. Their dedication to the show can be seen again in their choice of tune for this new send-up:  Petula Clark’s “Downtown” — a song that has had its fair share of screen time on the series.

So, what mysteries are you eagerly awaiting answers to?

Bryan and I watched the video.  Funny stuff!  Yes, there probably more questions than will ever be answered.
