Faith & Geekery: 1 Year Old
Today, January 19, 2010, is the official one year anniversary of the launch of FaithAndGeekery.com.
We’ve been privileged to have spent the last year bringing you news, reviews, and commentary on the colliding worlds of faith and geeky interests. Hopefully we’ve also opened your eyes to new and interesting things as together we’ve reveled in the obscure and more deeply examined the wildly popular.
Geeks from 107 different countries have stopped by to see what’s going on, and we’ve been blessed to partner with some fabulous people and organizations to offer fun content and giveaways.
And that’s just the beginning.
Even just a few weeks into 2010, we’re already planning some pretty cool things for this year. We hope you’ll stick with us and that you won’t be disappointed.
Special thanks to some of the great people who have joined with us in this past year:
- Revelife.com for reposting some of our articles
- The Daws Brothers for joining up with us early on and for sharing their movie Dangerous Calling
- Mann Theatres MN for contributing to our G.I. Joe movie poster giveaway
- Robin Parrish and Bethany House Publishers for their part in our Offworld contest
- Gooseradio.com for their partnership and for utilizing us on the “Geek Beat” section of their podcast
- All of the Faith & Geekery writers
- And of course, every single person who has stopped by to read, comment, and participate in our journey of faith and geekery for the last year
If I missed anyone, please forgive me. Thanks again for hanging with us; we’re looking forward to year two!
