FG Contest: G.I. Joe Movie Poster Giveaway
Calling all children of the ’80′s!
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is hitting theaters on August 7th in the first-ever live action adaptation of the real American hero, and while there’s a lot of talk over how good the movie will be, there’s no question that the characters already look cool.
Mann Theatres Minnesota has kindly offered Faith & Geekery several of these awesome theater posters featuring Duke looking ready for action (click here to see a larger version). If you’d like to get your hands on one of these full-size (27″ x 40″) bad boys, here’s what you need to do:
1) Please visit the Mann Theatres website. They’re providing these great prizes, so be sure to stop by their site and say hi. They’re also on Facebook and Twitter.
2) Leave a comment on this post and tell us who your favorite classic G.I. Joe character is, and why.
3) Get extra entries into the contest by following Faith & Geekery on Twitter and becoming a fan on Facebook.

My son would love to get his hands on one of these, Ace e is his favorite character!
My nephew loves Snake Eyes. He would love a poster and he cannot wait for the movie to come out.
I remember playing G.I. Joe with my cousin growing up, but I couldn’t remember most of the names. Snake Eyes is one we all remember but I was trying to think of more. So, I Wiki’d the characters and came up with a pretty extensive list of all of the G.I. Joe and Cobra cast over the years. I think one of my favorites was Law and Order; the MP with the K-9 companion.
I always played G.I. Joe with my little brothers, and I picked Duke, he had the coolest haircut and great style, just what a seven year old loves, got a toy of him for my birthday, loved it until it’s legs fell off
Snake Eyes was always my favorite. I think that was mainly due to the comics and the fact that the action figure came with swords! The idea the the “good” ninja wore black and that the “bad” ninja wore white also made an impression on me.
Snake Eyes is one of the coolest ninjas seen on a TV screen, especially the G.I. Joe: Resolute iteration.
Too bad the trailer was blocked. I’m disappointed.
