If you’re an ’80′s junkie who, like me, enjoyed Transformers last summer, you watched Megatron “die” at the end of the movie and knew, just knew that that wasn’t really the end. I mean, it never is.
As I’ve mentioned before (here and here), Transformers 2 is in production, and (saddled with the subtitle Revenge of the Fallen) will be rolling into theaters June 26, 2009. Already the film seems to be following Comic Book Maxim #1: “Nobody is necessarily dead forever.”
Latino Review has gotten their hands on what might be early images of Megatron in a new “Hey, guys, I’m a tank!” form. The seem pretty accurate, and since Paramount hasn’t taken them down yet, it either means they’re fake, or they’re part of some carefully planned leak-based viral publicity.
They look pretty genuine to me. See what you think (more pics via the link above).
Wasn’t Megatron a gun originally? Hmmm…
Maybe it’s Galvatron. He was a giant gun with tank treads when he transformed.
