This week’s aggregation of fun or interesting links to items too miniscule to warrant their own post, but still relevant enough to mention!
Read Neverwhere for Free: For Neil Gaiman fans, or those curious, Harper Collins has made available Neverwhere as a free online read or free e-book download. Limited time only.
“24″ Stopping Production: Just for 18 days, as of September 15th, so the writers can hammer out more scripts. Sorry, but haven’t they had about two years to do this?
Similarly, Whedon’s “Dollhouse” Stops Production: Same deal — more writing is needed. But it’s Whedon. Fans will wait patiently if it means he’s creating more quality stuff.
Sony Agrees to Keep Beating a Dead Horse: Despite the (let’s be honest) less-than-amazing film that was Spider-man 3, plans are in place for a fourth, and maybe even a fifth film. (I’m all for it if they can get the movies back up to snuff.)
Pictures from the Large Hadron Collider: Yeah, I don’t understand it all, either, but apparently we could all end up sucked into a black hole of our own creation, or something. But, hey, the pictures look awesome (and way above my level of comprehension).
Speaking of the LHC: Assuming the black hole thing doesn’t happen, gamers have enjoyed theorizing that something like Doom or Half Life might occur. In fact, it seems Gordon Freeman’s been spotted there…
Devastator to Appear Next Summer: Children of the ’80′s may remember Devastator as the gigantic Transfomer that emerges from the joining of the evil Constructicons. Sounds like he’ll be a threat in 2009′s Transformers: Rise of the Fallen.
More Fuel for the “More Halo 3″ Rumors: Remember the blog post I made talking about rumors of a Halo 3 Expansion, or something along those lines? At the Penny Arcade Expo a week or so ago, a new build of Halo 3 (with the subtitle “Mythic”) was seen, along with a list of new achievements. Hmm…
That’s all I’ve got for this week. If you’ve got stories I’ve missed, please let me know, and as always, feel free to comment on any of the above. Your thoughts are welcome!
