I was listening to the radio on my way into work this morning and hearing all about Barack Obama’s one trillion(!) dollar spending plan to somehow jumpstart the economy (by taking away all our money). One little gem included solving the gas price issue by punishing the companies that are providing oil and gas. That’s the nutshell version, anyway.
Not exactly sure how that will make things much better. Personally, I like Chuck Norris’ idea better.
Agreed. If the oil companies are making such obscene profits they should be given a mandate to re-invest those profits, in cooperation with auto makers, and come up with some kind of alternative transportation/energy system. And I’m not talking about trading food crops for oil.
Seriously! We have enough fuel within our own reach here to last us for decades. If we can’t develop effective alternate fuels such as hydrogen – or God-forbid WATER – then we don’t deserve it!
